Dear Elm Park Pool Members,

We miss you already! We hope the kids are settling back at school nicely and hope they like their teachers.  Here is some news for this week.

  • Everyone is invited to Elm this Saturday September 7th from 12:00pm to around 4:00pm to help CLEAN UP the pool grounds while the weather is hot, and the sun is shining. We may also finish up on Sunday the 8th at the same time, particularly if the weather is bad on Saturday. Here is a list of some of the tasks that need to be done, as any help you can provide is appreciated:
  • Oasis clean-up (This includes washing and unplugging fridges, washing dishes & towels, washing the counters, cupboards and floor.)
    • Ensuring all garbage (inside and out) and recycling bins are empty and washed so that there are no nasty surprises in the Spring
    • Lost & found items need to be washed before given away
    • Front lawn repair due to holes and roots surfacing
    • Taking down of tarps and banners
    • Triage, repair and storing of tables and chairs.
  • Note also on Saturday you will be able to meet the 2020 team of lifeguards.
  • We, including the EPRA staff, want to encourage all kids to continue swimming throughout the winter.  Whether it be for lessons or competitive programs, continue the momentum… you are AMAZING swimmers!!

General Announcements

  • Congratulations to all our athletes who participated in the various NAA Championship competitions this week! Our synchronized swimmers, divers, and water polo players all put on stellar performances and made Elm Park proud. Great job, everyone!

And that wraps up our final weekly newsletter of the season. This summer, we had a lot of fun at our many social events and enjoyed a great deal of success in our athletic programs. This would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of our members, so thank you to each and every one of you for being a part of our wonderful community and making Elm Park feel like a second home. We hope that you’ll take advantage of the remaining days of our 2019 season and can’t wait to see you all again next year!

Elm Park Staff

Awards Night

It’s time to recognize the hard work and dedication of our Elm coaches & instructors as well as Elm’s Yoga instructor Isabel. Like last year, a monetary contribution towards the lifeguard’s end of season dinner, is very much appreciated by all the guards. A contribution of $20 per family is suggested but is at each person’s discretion. Two separate cards will be circulating to sign, one for the guards and for Isabel. Please see David Bertrand, Maria Pace or Anne Hebert as of Today August 15th. The gift will be presented to all on Awards Night Friday August 23rd.

Happy Thursday!
